HISTORY OF 5TH ELEMENT COFFEE VAN
This is the story of the little van that could. Born in 1958 she dreamed of adventure and excitement, but it all ended too soon, or so she thought.
In 2005 she was found abandoned and unloved on a farm in Bindoon WA. This wonderful person, nicknamed Hillbilly, set about bringing her back to life and after a total revamp she had a good touring life, travelling to many parts of Australia. Her life was back on track.
In 2013 she was purchased by a young couple from Imbil, in the south east of Queensland, and was given another revamp and turned into a successful commercial coffee van. Her travelling life continued, bringing much joy and really delicious coffee to the good folk in QLD. Her working name became Epiphany Coffee. Vera Rose enjoyed many years of service under this banner, visiting exciting new places and meeting new people, many became regulars and would lovingly pat her and wish her well as they sipped their coffee. She also very much enjoyed the warm Queensland weather, it was kinder on her old joints.
In 2016 she found a new home with Kerry Cunnington and is once more undergoing a face lift. Her natural beauty and charm will be preserved, just a new coat of paint and a new name and she will emerge as 5th Element Coffee. Kerry has named the van “Vera Rose” as a tribute to his Mum who, like this little van, has had many dependent on her for comfort and safety, has worked hard all her life in the service of others and is still going strong.Come and say hi if you see her around. We will add photos of her revamp as it happens.
